imagesLast year four residents volunteered to spread grit in the case of snow and ice. They received training, equipment and insurance from the County Council to do so, and when the inevitable happened they were on hand to keep our paths and pavements safe. The volunteers report receiving many personal thanks from other residents, especially more

vulnerable members of the community who can be made housebound by the risk of slips and falls on icy pavements.Unfortunately one of our volunteers has moved away from the area for work, so if you or anyone you know is looking for a small but significant way to contribute to the life of the villages please contact the Parish Office
