Planned Resurfacing Work on the B1049

sign-plates_08_1We have received the following information from Cambridgeshire County Council:

I am e-mailing you to provide you with advanced notice that Cambridgeshire County Council will be undertaking resurfacing work on the B1049 in Histon & Impington over a six week period commencing on Sunday August 3rd with a road
closure at The Green running southwards for a distance of approximately 300m to enable the planing out of the carriageway surface.

Weather permitting the following two evenings will see this length of road closed again for resurfacing of this length of carriageway. It is necessary to undertake this work under a road closure as the carriageway is too narrow to accommodate the works machinery and through traffic.

It is anticipated that the remaining resurfacing work will be undertaken during daytime off peak hours under traffic management control which is most likely to be traffic signals, but additional road closures may be required.
Advanced notices will be placed on roads in the area to advise drivers of the closure, the work and the likelihood of delays.
