- Cambridge Travel to Work (www.tfw.org.uk)
- Cambridge Transition (www.transitioncambridge.org)
- Climate Energy (www.climateenergy.org.uk)
- Cambridge Transition Cropshare (www.cambridge.cropshare.org.uk)
Both South Cambs District Council and Cambridgeshire County Council are providing significant support. Emmaus will be present to talk about its role in recycling.
Several local groups including the Histon & Impington Community Orchard Project, the Garden Society and the Village Society will also be present.
Parish Councillor Ruth Moulder is championing the day. Ruth says: ‘Histon & Impington is a great place to live and the majority of residents understand the need to live sustainably. However the issues involved in living sustainably can be confusing. The Parish Council is holding this event to provide residents with some of the advice and information they need to make informed choices. We also hope people enjoy the day and come to meet some of their neighbours.’
